Parental Invasion - Week 2

The second week of my parents visit included more London sightseeing and a side trip to Stonehenge and Bath.  Mom and dad's overconfidence in traversing the London transport system concluded in them missing their second scheduled excursion to Dover.  I knew I should have walked them to the bus stop!  On their last night in London, a surprise visit from Sam cancelled our Thames river cruise night, but we were just as happy to have drinks at the local pub!  The second week was full of mishaps, but it was all fine in the end!

(These pics are out of order because I'm tired and can't be bothered!  Sorry people!)

I'm so glad that my parents had the opportunity to visit us in England.  The two weeks they were here flew by!  They are already planning another trip over next year!

The day after my parents left, Josh and I had planned a trip to Cornwall and Wales with our Aussie friends, Alissa and Kieran.  Here are some pictures from our trip.  The area we visited was absolutely beautiful.  I can't wait to go again when the weather isn't so darn crappy!

Dartmouth

Dartmouth

Narrowest road EVER!  Both side mirrors were pulled in and we were barely squeaking by!

Alissa and I headed down to the water.

A tiny little cave!

View from our rental house in Torquay.

This is where we spent most of our time at the rental house!  Beautiful views!

Glastonbury Abbey in...Glastonbury (go figure!)

Catholic church ruins (Glastonbury Abbey).  Darn reformation!  This church was, at one time, very similar in size to  St. Peter's in Rome.

Josh found a snack :)

1 minute of our approximately 30 minutes in Cardiff, Wales.  Don't need to come here again...

Castle in Wales...I think...

Josh wants a courtyard like this in our next house :)

Beautiful Cornwall!  Yucky weather!

I can't remember the name of this town, but it was super cute!

If only the weather would have been nicer, we could have walked down to the water.

Riding out the yucky weather behind a huge hedgerow!

Ferry's are fun!

Josh loved the goats along our walk.

Mr. Goat saying hi!

Josh has decided he needs a snickers picture everywhere he goes!

Snickers Satisfies!

Pretty waterfall.

Phew!  I think I am caught up in Baird goings-ons...until Friday anyway.  Then we leave for a three week visit to the States!  I'm sure I'll have a picture or two or a hundred to share when we get back.  Thanks for looking :)

That was nuts!!! Josh cracks me up, he needs to contact snickers, let them know what he is doing. Could be in a commercial someday? Do you have on earmuffs in last pic? Can't wait to see you next Friday. Love ya, Mum.
